IBM Lotus Notes/Domino R8 to be release for electronic general availability on 8/17. According to Ed Brill who apparently had a late night, it is scheduled for eGA on 08/17/2007.

After attending the SalesTalk this morning, the following are worth a mention:

• "it is built for the next 20 years"....Ed Brill
• Sub capacity licensing that can be converted from current PUV's. Allows for virtual machine licensing. Uses Tivoli License Manager, with phone home tracking
• Websphere Portal entitlement @ 20 users per 100 pvu of Domino owned(unrestricted use, 20 user limit notwithstanding)
• Tivoli Directory Integrator (TDI) entitlement, use only for Domino to LDAP/AD/etc
